It becomes very clear that Matthew 24 is describing the exact descriptions of what will happen during the Tribulation Period in other Scriptures about this time period.
We can see this truth by comparing the passages and see how exactly they match each other. This is yet another proof that Matthew 24 is not addressing believers living today in this dispensation of grace, called The Church Age. Matthew 24 is addressing those living during and after the coming Tribulation Period.
Very Similar Verses Describing The 7 Year Tribulation Period To Come:
We can see how these related very clearly as we read the descriptions of swords (war), arrows causing burning heat and starvation and a poison within the body that will mimic being bitten by a deadly snake venom (Nuclear war?) and that this will effect babies, kids, adults and the old as well. EVERYONE will be effected by this drastic situation that will suddenly be upon the Earth during the Tribulation Period.
“I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine ARROWS UPON THEM. They shall be BURNT WITH HUNGER, and DEVOURED WITH BURNING HEAT, and with BITTER DESTRUCTION: I will also send the TEETH OF BEASTS upon them, with the POISON OF SERPENTS of the dust.
